Psalm 13 reimagined

Note: a psalm that David gave to the Choir Director.

1. When will it be time for you to remember me, Lord?  When will it be time for you to draw close?
2. When will it be time for my hurt to be healed?  When will it be time for my critics to stop?

3. Now is the time for you to answers my questions, Lord my Creator.  Now is the time to lift me up before I sink for good.
4. Now is the time for you to silence my critics.  Now is the time for you to wipe the smiles from their faces.

5. I will be confident in your undying love.  I will celebrate because you have set me free.
6. I will sing songs to the Lord from a heart of devotion.  I will recall how good he / she has been to me.
